Hello and welcome to the May 2023 edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!
This month we are featuring the Returning Colors! You see, every so many years, Stampin’ Up! refreshes their color line up to stay fresh and current. The new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog features new colors and returning colors along with some tried and true colors. Our blog hop this month focuses on the colors that have been brought out of retirement!
This monochromatic card is done in Misty Moonlight. You might remember Misty Moonlight was an In Color just a few years ago. I was so sad to see it go and I am so glad to see it have returned.
For this card, I stamped the images and sentiment from the new Cheerful Daisy Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight as well.
With just one color of ink and card stock (along with the white), monochromatic cards bring a elegant simplicity to your card making repertoire!
Here is the same basic design in Pretty Peacock which was also introduced to Stampers as an In Color a couple years ago.
Of course, I can never use Pretty Peacock without thinking of my dear Stampin’ friend, Linda Reaney! She was so full of life and brought joy to all our team stamping events!
Pretty Peacock was one of her favorite SU colors. I sure do miss her and all her cat stories!

Pretty cards, makes me want to play with Pretty Peacock. Happy that the color is back especially since it reminds you of your sweet friend.
