Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Joanne Cantrell from a very tiny town in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the United States. I hope you enjoy the projects/cards I have to offer you today.
Our theme this month is “HOLIDAY CATALOG SNEAK PEEK!” That means that everyone blog you hop through today will feature new stamps sets, new designer series paper, new punches, new dies, new embellishments, and/or new paints… O – M – G!!! The list of what these products could include is limitless. And, as far as the new 2018 Holiday Catalog goes… what can I say – other than it is A-MAZING! Just you wait!
But, for those of you who can’t wait… here are a couple projects I did last week for an event hosted Meg Loven, Julie Davison, and Mary Ellen Stiles. It’s called Vacation Stamping School. Each year, they go all out to showcase the new catalog. It’s really a great event. In fact, this year, our guest speaker was the one and only Shannon West!!!
Here she is learning about how to make sandwiches for the Big Shot. She was pondering the possible sandwiches for using an embossing die.
And, here was my demonstration table… It’ may look a little sparse… but it got the point across!
I was asked to demonstrate a technique or product suite. So, I went to my new go-to technique. It’s called stamping-in-the-round. I originally talked about it on this blog post…
But, I have done a little more to the template… I added more squares 🙂
Anyway – you came here to see some cards, didn’t you…
This uses the new set PEACEFUL NOEL (147694 – page 29). It also shows one of the patterns from the JOYOUS NOEL SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (147816). I used the stamping-in-the-round technique to stamp the branch images for the wreath. I then added copper embossed berries and sentiment to match the paper.
Here is a close up!
I also used this technique on this card…
It uses the same stamp set and paper… but the sentiment is from Feathers & Frost (#147771 – page 30)
This branch image is larger so it only took four times to stamp a complete circle. Here is the close up!
Well, that’s it from me today…
I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog have inspired you & brightened your day. You are currently visiting Joanne Cantrell. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don’t want to miss any!”
