Hello and welcome to this month’s installment of the Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop! I am so excited you are here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are currently stopped at Joanne Cantrell. I hail from a tiny town in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, our theme for this month is a color challenge. Ugh! I am not good at these… but that won’t stop me from trying! The colors we are being challenged to use are Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green and Grapefruit Grove. Perfect colors for spring! They just give you happy feels! Can you not feel the sun just radiating off of them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So, lets see what I was able to come up with using these colors…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the first one…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The black background layer really makes the colors pop! After I adhered the strips to the layer, I stamped the starburst image from Birthday Backgrounds stamp set using Versark ink. This made it easy to get the desired effect without having to clean the stamp between ink colors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The sentiment is from the Better Together stamp set. I tied it all up with a little of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And, here is a sneak peek of the inside!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next card…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Everyone loves a bouquet of balloon for their birthday. The sentiment is from the Birthday Banners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used the Balloon Bouquet punch and punched out a few balloons. For that special touch, I used the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to add the reflection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The strings were unraveled Grapefruit Grove threads from the Nature’s Twine pack. If you untwist it, you get three strands. If you untwist each of those, you get three more… :). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I had a couple extra balloons to put in the inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, there’s this one…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I just love the Bubble Over bundle. Which knew this set would be perfect for this color challenge! Well obviously I did!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I cut the bottles from vellum and sponged the color on the backs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then I added a bunch more bubbles to the inside!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Oh… wait… Here is one more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Yes siree… That is the Jar of Love stamp set and the Every Jars dies! Thank you for asking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A note on the water… I used Balmy Blue and the water image stamp. I stamped on the back of the vellum. But, then I didn’t think it was dark enough. I decided to also stamp the water directly on to the card base. I think it helps give the illusion that the stems are in water, don’t you!?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Don’t forget the inside… It’s basic, but enough to offset the special note you will write inside!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, surprisingly enough, this color scheme was actually really easy to work it. I had fun with this and I hope it’s inspiring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I guess it’s time to go see what the other ladies have done with these colors… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
