Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Joanne Cantrell from pretty much smack dab in the middle of the United States.<\/p>\n

This month’s theme is one of my favorites – FUN FOLDS!\u00a0 Who doesn’t love a card that is a little out of the norm?\u00a0 Something a little different?\u00a0 Well, that’s what our blog is all about this month.\u00a0\u00a0Of course, fun folds don’t just have to include cards, they can also include boxes and other fun things that are folded… hence the name \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

So, I know you came here looking to see what I have created for this challenge.\u00a0 And, we will get to it… Just a quick explanation first.<\/p>\n

As you may know – my oldest child is in the Navy.\u00a0 He is stationed in Connecticut.\u00a0 Upon talking to him a few weeks ago, he told me he would not be home for Christmas.\u00a0 So, since mailing him to tons of gifts I would love to give him is sort of out of the question, we decided to do gift cards.\u00a0 But, since I am a Stampin’ UP! kinda gal, just sending him an envelope full of plastic would not be enough.\u00a0 So, I scoured Pinterest and found a lovely tutorial by someone who I can’t remember (nor can I find the pin… but I will and let you know whose original creation it was!)<\/p>\n

Anywhoo….Dell came home and surprised us.\u00a0 And, I hadn’t done the gift card album yet.\u00a0 Then, next thing I knew, his dad was just giving him a handful of gift cards!\u00a0 No card, no bag, … nothing… just a handful of cards with a “Here, Merry Christmas, Son!” Oh my…<\/p>\n

Good thing his birthday is in a couple weeks and we plan on giving him more gift cards…\u00a0 Because it gave me the opportunity to do this fun fold project!<\/p>\n

While, it was a little tricky to figure out how to make it… Once I did, I was on a roll!!!<\/p>\n

If you are wondering where the tutorial is for this project, you will have to wait until after the first of the New Year.\u00a0 It’s nearly impossible to do one on my phone and I am boycotting my office until then! But, I can tell you this does include a new bundle out of the 2018 Occasions Catalog!<\/p>\n

Either way, I hope the project you’ve seen here on my blog today has inspired you to create your own gift card holders and brightened your day in the meantime<\/p>\n
