{"id":1312,"date":"2017-02-02T17:15:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-02T17:15:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.com\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2017-02-02T17:15:11","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T17:15:11","slug":"designing-a-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.com\/?p=1312","title":{"rendered":"Designing a Card&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How do you do it?\u00a0 Do you just copy something that you found on Pinterest?\u00a0 Do you drag out all your stuff and stare at it until your are inspired?\u00a0 Do you just sit down and make a card?<\/p>\n<p>Well, the method of my madness usually goes something like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trolling Pintrest&#8230;\u00a0 &#8220;Oh, I like that&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Hey I could make that&#8230; but I don&#8217;t have that&#8230;&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>go to craft room and pull out sets<\/li>\n<li>get overwhelemed<\/li>\n<li>go to computer and create a sketch<\/li>\n<li>work a little magic with Photoshop and Publisher to create a digital card<\/li>\n<li>take new sketch and create cards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the method that I use when I have time and\/or I have a lot of cards to make.\u00a0 This is basically what I did for that card swap I did in December.\u00a0 This is what I do for most cards I make.\u00a0 But, what does that look like?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1314\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/2015-11-01-14-57-55wm.jpg\" alt=\"2015-11-01-14-57-55wm\" width=\"2952\" height=\"2417\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pretty much.. it looks like this.\u00a0 Here is the card that I saw on Pinterest.\u00a0 I copied it into Publisher.\u00a0 I used some shapes and created a sketch of it.\u00a0 Printed it off.\u00a0 Made some notes&#8230; created the card.<\/p>\n<p>What does it look like when I use Photoshop to help me create?<\/p>\n\n<p>The first two are the card sketches that I created using Photoshop and Publisher.\u00a0 The last two are the actual card I created.\u00a0 You can see that I didn&#8217;t have the right dimensions on the wording, so I had to adjust.\u00a0 This is because I usually don&#8217;t have my stamp sets and dies with me while I am creating the sketches.<\/p>\n<p>So, with all that being said&#8230; I was designing a card this morning and did a card sketch when it hit me&#8230; I can do sketches and put those out for y&#8217;all.\u00a0 What do you think about that.\u00a0 It would be great to see what you gals\/guys could do with these sketches&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here is the first one&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1311\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/cs-001.png\" alt=\"cs-001\" width=\"1530\" height=\"894\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, let me know what you create with this sketch by leaving it int he comments or on our Facebook page \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Here is the direction I am headed based on a card by Kylie Bertucci.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1308\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/02\/2017-02-02-09-28-29.jpg\" alt=\"2017-02-02-09-28-29\" width=\"2856\" height=\"3848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is going to be the make-n-take my Open House Event this weekend!<\/p>\n<p>Until next time&#8230; Keep it simple, Stampers!<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Joanne<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do you do it?\u00a0 Do you just copy something that you found on Pinterest?\u00a0 Do you drag out all your stuff and stare at it until your are inspired?\u00a0 Do you just sit down and make a card?
