{"id":1225,"date":"2017-01-31T20:11:30","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T20:11:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.com\/?p=1225"},"modified":"2017-01-31T20:11:30","modified_gmt":"2017-01-31T20:11:30","slug":"im-the-worst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.com\/?p=1225","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m the Worst!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seriously, I am!<\/p>\n<p>I am a card maker who rarely sends cards!<\/p>\n<p>How terrible is that?\u00a0 I really need to change that!<\/p>\n<p>I love to make cards.\u00a0 I love to teach people to make cards.\u00a0 I encourage people to send cards.\u00a0 I used to work a card store&#8230;\u00a0 Yet, I am a failure at sending cards.\u00a0 There really needs to be a support group for people like me!<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is my best friend&#8217;s birthday.\u00a0 Is it weird for a grown woman to still refer to someone as the BFF?\u00a0 Well, I really don&#8217;t care.\u00a0 I have many friends.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not bragging&#8230; &#8220;Many friends&#8221; nowadays is very different than &#8220;many friends&#8221; when I was much younger!\u00a0 But, there is that one person who will travel across oceans to see me and I would travel to the ends of the earth to see her.\u00a0 We get together a couple times a year.\u00a0 I have had her almost as long as my oldest son.\u00a0 Of course, I live a small town where everyone is related to everyone else, so knowing someone for 20 years doesn&#8217;t seem like much of an accomplishment.\u00a0 But, I was a military brat who became a Marine wife.\u00a0 We moved every 3 years.\u00a0 In fact, I moved 38 times in 32 years.\u00a0 So, keeping a friend for 20 years is a great achievement.\u00a0 We have been friends since the day we meet.\u00a0 And, you know what&#8230; I never send her a card!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1252\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1252\" style=\"width: 3264px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1252\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/01\/2013-12-14-13-03-02.jpg\" alt=\"2013-12-14 13.03.02.jpg\" width=\"3264\" height=\"1840\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1252\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dec. 2013 at my college graduation&#8230; What a great friend&#8230; She drove 8 hours to watch me walk!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This year, I thought, was going to be different.\u00a0 I would send her a card.\u00a0 Well, guess what.\u00a0 Tomorrow is her birthday and I have no card to send her.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t just send her any card. It needs to be special.\u00a0 So, since I haven&#8217;t had the time&#8230; no card.<\/p>\n<p>Am I a terrible friend?\u00a0 Would you un-friend me?<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s worse is that Stampin&#8217; Up makes it so easy to whip out great birthday cards in no time.\u00a0 Here is one that used the Birthday Banners stamp set (141506) and the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits (141488).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1231\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/01\/2016-07-20-08-10a.png\" alt=\"2016-07-20-08-10a\" width=\"3660\" height=\"2848\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Whoops.. look at that&#8230; there is ink smeared on it.\u00a0 Just the perfect touch for a homemade card, don&#8217;t you agree!<\/p>\n<p>Here is the inside!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1229\" src=\"https:\/\/keepitsimplestampers.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/01\/2016-07-20-08-10b.png\" alt=\"2016-07-20-08-10b\" width=\"3940\" height=\"2564\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So tell me, should I just break down and send her this card?\u00a0 Maybe go through my stash of old cards that I have made and send her something not designed just for her&#8230;\u00a0 Or send a belated card?\u00a0 Or maybe, just chalk it up to a loss this year and try for next year!?!<\/p>\n<p>Do you send cards?<\/p>\n<p>Am I just the worst?<\/p>\n<p>Is there a card-sending help group?<\/p>\n<p>Until next time&#8230; keep it simple, stampers!<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Joanne<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seriously, I am!
